I have been enjoying the almost zelig-like appearance of Ikea's Docksta table in many, many homes over the past few months and thought it would be good to document. The Docksta, for those of you who aren't familiar with it, is Ikea's $150 shameless knockoff of Aero Saarinen's famous Tulip Table (Knoll). If you were ever in love with this classic shape, the Docksta is for your new best friend.

While it's completely fabricated from fiberboard and polymide, there is no doubt that this baby is popular and, when treated gently, satisfyingly Tulip-like and functional (some say it can be wobbly). Here's all the beans.
