Meditech Magic, like most patient admission systems, cannot always address the multiple variations that occur during registration; issues such as complex and changing business and insurance rules, a multitude of insurance codes and plans, compliance regulations and many more. This results in registration errors that cause an unnecessary loss of revenue associated with claims that are delayed, denied or not paid at all. In addition, registration errors can have a major impact on employee morale and patient satisfaction.

Finding Your Way Through the Registration Maze

It always amazes me just how much information must be gathered and processed at patient registration time; information such as insurance plan code, insurance eligibility, demographics, credit risk, charity availability, deductible amount and much more. Patient registration not only involves the creation of the patient's medical record, which must be accurate in order to provide appropriate treatment and care, but, in addition, a healthcare provider's ability to collect payments directly correlates to an efficient and accurate registration process.

Glenn brings 20 years of sales and management experience to the Revenue360 Team. He formed the nation's first sales force to market the idea of embedding eligibility verification, patient demographic, credit and medical necessity checks, and scheduled call-back reminders into procedures at the first point of patient contact – scheduling.

Through his work with some of the nations leading healthcare organizations, Glenn has evangelized the need to automate these tedious tasks to reduce AR days, bad debt and improve upfront cash collections.

With 17 years of healthcare experience from both the hospital and vendor sectors, Sue understands the issues in revenue cycle management.

As Patient Access Manager for Orlando Regional Healthcare, Sue worked to centralize and automate diagnostic scheduling for their six hospitals and one large ambulatory care center. After 13 years working in hospitals, Sue went on to work in IT as a Customer Relationship Manager for Tempus Software and an Account Executive for QuadraMed Corporation.

Mike brings over 20 years of sales experience to the Revenue360 team. His extensive knowledge of healthcare eligibility is represented in his history of promoting stand-alone eligibility terminals to the evolution of automated, integrated, real-time eligibility solutions.

Early in his career, Mike organized and ran the first state-wide pharmacy PPO representing 90% of retail pharmacies in Washinton state with a buying group for generic drugs, and sold preferred network for pharmacy benefits to payers in the Pacific Northwest.
