enthusiasts as they converge in the Yamhill Valley for the third annual Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon on Sunday, September 2. This unique, fun-filled event is put on by renowned race organizer Destination Races as part of a nationwide
series of five wine runs. With support from the Oregon Sports Authority, the Yamhill Valley race from Stoller Vineyards through the rolling Dundee Hills is quickly becoming known as one of the most scenic half marathons in the nation.
Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon finishers will be greeted in downtown Carlton with a lively wine and music festival as locals mix with runners from across the country to enjoy the fruits of their labor. American Idol semifinalist Haley

Little League Softball World Series Begins Next Week |
 The top girls softball teams in the world
will descend on Portland next week for the 2012 Little League Softball World Series, August 9-15 at Alpenrose Stadium. Teams from Mexico, the Netherlands, the Philippines and Canada will compete for the title of world champion against six
U.S. teams, including hometown favorite Raleigh Hills/Lincoln. The semifinals and finals of the Little League Softball World Series will be broadcast live to a nationwide audience on ESPN2.
See the best 11- and 12-year-olds from around the globe as they go head-to-head beginning next Thursday at Alpenrose Dairy in Southwest Portland. All games are free to attend, as is parking.
