I am going to be spending the next few days in Central Oregon speaking at a conference on Tourism. I am presenting on a few panels about how the internet impacts tourism and travel.

A "Thank You" email you can learn from
As I have mentioned numerous times on this blog, I sign for hundreds of newsletters. I am obsessed with email marketing and you need to use other companies examples and ideas to help you with your strategy.

Social networking has blanketed the news for the past 18 months, not because it's a fad, but because it works. In our
2007 Online Marketing Predictions report, we concluded that social networking would keep growing strong, but that it would become very niche-oriented. eROI was fortunate to get paired up with client
MatchPoint Corp which came to us with an incredible concept of targeting Professional Parents who want to connect with one another, network for intros or referrals, find relevant service providers for home life and business, or
ultimately find high-value jobs on a flexible contract-basis. In short, this niche business model is part LinkedIn, part MySpace, part Monster.com, and part full-service staffing agency. MatchPoint asked us to architect, design, and
build this well-designed and powerful tool for fostering online community. And, it had to be done in four months. So, we did…
Starting from a blank slate is exhilarating but scary.

Your Design Effects your Email Performance
Everyone that participates in the survey will win a free copy of the results once it is completed.
This month we are curious about another issue,
Email Design and Coding Perceptions. Does either design or coding of your email marketing campaigns really matter? Do you design emails for specific segments in your audience or do you keep your messaging broad so that you don't seem
like you are only speaking to one group of people? With the email client market so fragmented, are you changing the way you design and code emails?

Get your Blog Recaps in a Weekly Newsletter
You can now sign-up for a weekly newsletter featuring weekly posts from our family of eROI Blogs. If you don't have time to visit them each week, we will bring the content right to your inbox.
These newsletters are automatically produced using our "RSS to emailROI" system. This system allows you to automate email content from RSS feeds. (the video above explains this well.)
Sure this takes the fun out of those hours you spend creating content and editing and sending your newsletter, but maybe you would rather watch 24 and eat popcorn instead. RSS to emailROI is your enabler.
