Are you a woman planning to get an intrauterine device (IUD)?
Investigators at the OHSU Center for Women's Health are conducting a study on the use of a new ointment to decrease pain with IUD placement.
To qualify, you must be between the ages of 18 and 45, planning to get the Mirena IUD, never been pregnant beyond 20 weeks and never used an IUD in the past.
Participation involves one visit lasting one hour and a half and a follow-up phone call or e-mail the next day.
Qualified participants will be compensated $50. The cost of the IUD will be billed to insurance.
If you are interested, please call 503-494-3173 for more information.
