Memorial Day Weekend at Montinore
We love Memorial Day weekend for many reasons - cookouts with friends, the long weekend and checking out Willamette Valley wineries. There is so much happening here, from new wineries and restaurants to exciting wine releases at some of our favorite wineries. For those of you who haven't visited wine country during Memorial Day weekend, we think you'll find Willamette Valley does it best. More than 150 wineries open their doors to show you all that they have to offer. Expect to see new releases, eat tasty food and listen to some great music. We're continuing with our culinary theme this year and will be offering two wine flights Memorial Day weekend. Naturally we'll have our traditional flight, which includes any five wines of your choice for those who want to keep things simple. For those of you who want a little something extra - or might be hungry after a hard day of wine tasting - we'll be serving a wine and cheese flight. Marc Hinton, our Director of Hospitality and one of our resident chefs (you'd be surprised how many chefs we have on staff), has thoughtfully paired wines and small bites perfect for the season. We highly recommend giving them a try; his food is always amazing; even his daily lunches make our mouth water. To mark the occasion we're releasing our 2009 Rosé. We only made 99 cases of the wine and it sells out fast, so come on out and stock your cellar for the summer before it's too late.
